The Future of Gaming? - Obliviator27 - 10-08-2012

Video game hardware is constantly being updated and improved. The technology curve is phenomenal. There are a few technologies in the works right now, and I can't wait to see them released publicly.

Imagine combining the following two technologies being developed.

I look forward to what the future holds.

The UDK video is the best. Being able to walk around in something you create must feel amazing.

Their cool, but only when they are used properly. Run to fast or trip in the ball and your bound to break a really expensive piece of equipment.

That head vizor is awesome, although I'm afraid if I'm one of the people who would vomit using those. The body movement is clunky and didn't really match to that of the human.

This is still the early design. Imagine what'll be in 6 years.

I wouldn't mind if they just had a "run in place" kind of thing.

Don't wanna be charging at an enemy, only to run into a wall, eh?

A friend of mine has a hydra that he played Portal 2 with. Said it was super immersive, but he got motion sick really easily.

Then again, he also has a movie theatre screen in a barn that he can play this stuff on.
