I meant to say finding it offensive

RE: AC3 - eliasfrost - 11-22-2012

Why do they get offended?

I just mean people opions on the matter, do you get offended? what do you think of people who are offended

Oh I thought you meant that brits get offended by Assassins Creed 3. I haven't played the game myself (don't like the series in general), I was just curious as to why anyone would find it offensive.

I'm under the impression the game is set during the Revolutionary War, which is when the British Empire lost control of the (then) Colonial America. As with any war, the other side is always "the bad guy", the other side being the British Empire in this case. I don't understand why they would get offended either, but I see the reasoning for it anyway.

Only british gamer I know is Yahtzee, who makes the Zero Punctuation Reviews. He wasn't offended at all, stating the game depicted the war in a pretty neutral way. He did say however in his review, that he found the game incredibly boring and that it didn't have much to do with assassinating anymore.

People will get offended over anything.
People are too sensitive these days.

RE: AC3 - Kman - 11-22-2012

Obliviator really likes to talk like this it seems.

You're British and your name is ButteredCrumpets?
Nice.
I agree with you, Kman.
This IS silly.
