It will most likely be a standalone, since they will get much more sales that way. And road stop double posting. There's an edit button for a fucking reason.

I would prefer a boxed version, but I will buy it regardless (if I´m able to).

Uhh...I'm not sure...
The expansion pack idea is not good at all.
It's like..a last minute choice!
I think the developers should make A NEW EPISODE and not a simple expansion, because it makes other people who can't download it to be jealous and nervous on the other guys, not to mention that hackers can manipulate the download sources into hack tools etc.

Shortly, it will only make troubles in my opinion.

The expansion will most likely be standalone, to encourage people buying the game. Since the game is an expansion (and not an episode) it will definitely be shorter and thus not worth a distributer time to box it up and ship it, especially with high gas prices lately.

The expansion pack is probably to pump some funds into the Frictional Games war machine, as they've stated before they would rather not do another episodic game. Because of this, their games will likely be longer, and require more money to make.
