Game Minimizes By Itself When Fullscreen - AweSam - 09-10-2013

Hi, I'm running A:AMFP through Steam. The game seems to work fine in windowed mode, but when I set it to fullscreen, it minimizes to the taskbar (running Windows 7 64-bit) by itself. When I click the icon to maximize it, it re-minimizes itself immediately. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Specs:
i5-2500k
AMD Radeon 7870 Sapphire XT
AsRock P67 Mobo

Are you sure that you did your all drivers' update?

Try to update your graphic card first, if you didn't.

Yup, I'm running the latest drivers for all hardware. Actually, I might have to roll back my graphic card drivers; I'm running the 13.10 beta Catalyst driver. I will try the the older non-beta version and post my results.

Hmm, if you have the steam overlay option enabled, can you try and disable it incase there is some conflict with it and the game?

Hi Jens, I did try that, no success there. I'm thinking it might be a background process of some sort, thinking of booting into safe mode to see if that works.

Could be something, possibly a program updating? I get a similar issue when for example java feels like updating.

So I'm in safe mode (with networking enabled) and now I'm getting the BlackBox EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION that other people are getting. I don't know why it didn't show up when booting normally into Windows. Thanks for your help! Since there are other threads on this error, I think I'll look there for now.

EDIT: Looks like restarting back into Windows may have fixed the error and the weird minimizing thing! Not sure why, but it works great now!
