He's more of a self-appointed savior, the imperialist, the bully who thinks every terrible thing he does is for the victim's own good.

And I don't think his notes ever indicate a genuine concern for people. He hates them. He's a misanthrope who masturbates to his own perceived superiority and justifies his evil by claiming he's no worse than anyone else. Even before his trip to Mexico, his interest in machinery is derived in the interest of profit, not for anything related to 'safety'. I'd say all that really changed after his return from the Aztec ruins, aside from the supernatural hijinx, is that he starts adding a benevolent facade to his initially callous business. He already was building machines to slaughter pigs - he's simply extended the definition of 'pig'.

You're probably more on point. I ended up glossing over Oswald pre egg encounter, and even then he was very disturbed, and disillusioned. the narcissist who goes about as if he's a great person while hiding a deeper self-loathing. But I wouldn't necessarily say he's completely awful. He's human with both good and evil attributes. The orb seems to split those sides, creating the "evil" bloodthirsty machine and the "good" father desperately trying to get his children back.

i dunno. i tried. Confused

Fan wikis are never good sources for information. I read them just to laugh at the mistakes. :p

Beats me. But The Chinese Room developed the game, so you'd better ask them.

A Servant Grunt?

About the Servant Grunt, I think I saw him drowned/dead in the Bilge.

Sooo, has anyone else been able to find this Servant grunt yet? I have not.

That was a grunt and a pig in one grave, if I'm not mistaken...
