[Fixed, sort of] A progress blocking bug in AAMFP - Blooker - 10-14-2013

POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW

I have a desktop computer, running Windows 7 Home Edition 64 Bit. I play the game on Steam.

Today, I got to the part of the game where the town is on fire and pig-humans are running everywhere; I went inside the house which the visions of the main character's children had just run out of where I ran into a couple of bugs that stopped me from progressing.

Here's the small house inside of the house.

So I can't go anywhere. I'm locked in this tiny space while stuff explodes outside. I'm pretty sure there's meant to be some stairs somewhere in the first picture, but I don't know for sure.

I've tried verifying the game cache, restarting the game and restarting my computer, but none of it has worked.
I also can't attach my hpl.log (Over 100 KB) and it's too long to copypasta. What do?

Are you saying you cant get back outside?

No, I can't.

You are probably at a place you weren't supposed to. Try loading an earlier save game before that part/place.

I'm pretty sure it was a place I was meant to go; the moment where the main character's children came out of the house insinuated that I needed to go in there.
Besides, I couldn't find anywhere else to go and there was a door that I had to open.

No you're not supposed to go into the house the children come out of, infact I only triggered that event on my second playthrough so its completely unnecesary. On the street nearby there should be an acces to a basement through a wooden window of sorts.

I'm pretty sure you're referring to a scripted event where Mandus' children run out through an open door into the streets, and the door slams shut. In any case, you weren't supposed to go there, there's a different way where you must progress in the level, though there's quite a few interesting scenes astray of the main path, much like this scene with the children.

Ah, okay.
Is there a way I can noclip out?

I don't believe so, your best bet is to find an earlier progress point somehow, I'm not sure how one does that since I'm not too familiar with the save states in Amnesia.

That's going to be difficult, seeing as AAMFP doesn't have conventional level names
I'm going to have to do...
