Hopefully not. I've resented every game where you're burdened with an idiot ai. I can't see any pros in having a sidekick especially in a horror game. This WILL be a horror game after all, not resident evil. Right?
I think the Resident Evil series worked pretty well even though you had a few friends running around. At least up until Resident Evil 5 where the AI starts following you all the time and doing everything you do. Killing your enemies, taking your treasures and so on.
