Journal causing game crashes - Spirit Juice - 10-31-2014
Hello
I tried looking through the troubleshooting guides and forum posts but could not find a solution, let alone a mention, to the problem.
The game will either crash right away or have a white background behind the text and journal picture upon finding a new document. This appears to happen at random but frequently enough to make the game almost unplayable (I've played the game about three hours and have crashed six times I think). It doesn't appear that notes cause the game to crash, only documents found within the world.
Pretty frustrated.
Upon trying to attach the hpl.log, it says I can't attach it because the log is too big (116 KB). HELP!!!

Sounds like your installation might be corrupt. Try to reinstall the game or if on Steam do a integrity check on the game.

I tried an integrity check before and it did not solve the issue. I have reinstalled and have not had a crash yet, but I may just be getting lucky (I did manage to complete one map without a crash). hpl.log is riddled with warnings and errors regardless, however, and this is just from 30 minutes of playing off of a fresh install. Unfortunately, the file is 192KB and I cannot attach it to this post. Is there an alternative way to post the log if it would help the situation?

Perhaps try this for us - copy this code into a new post, however remove one slash from the //code entry. Replace your HPL log's direct text over the <Your HPL Log> section as well.

EDIT: I tried copy-pasting the log into code and spoiler tags like you suggested, but it cut the log short due to character limits.

Amnesia AMFP generally generates a lot of errors at HPL.log but most of them should not be a problem. If your game crashes again, use pastebin again with the log generated right after the crash.
