Get nauseated, headachy after playing game, anyone else? - prettywoman - 06-15-2009 Get nauseated, headachy after playing game, anyone else? I know this sound weird, but it happened 3 separate times after playing Penumbra on my PC today. Is it just me? Coincidence? Something else going on? Anyone else experienced this? Caused by a "flicker" of the screen I can’t perceive? Never ever had this happen before. Told you it is weird, any thoughts? BTW: Just started playing the game today, have GREAT fun so far with the exception of this “situation”. PW RE: Get nauseated, headachy after playing game, anyone else? - Renegade_ - 06-15-2009 This can be caused by many things: • do you have general motion sickness? • view bobbing can aggravate this (I don't think it can be turned off) • are you playing in a high contrast environment? (try playing in a well-lit area) • are you playing with no crosshairs? (enable crosshair so your eyes have a "resting place") • if you are using a CRT, ensure your refresh rate is at least 85Hz. RE: Get nauseated, headachy after playing game, anyone else? - Sexbad - 06-15-2009 You may also wish to try turning the noise filter off. It makes a little static film over the display. Your framerate may also be low, so try lowering graphics settings and the game may play more smoothly. RE: Get nauseated, headachy after playing game, anyone else? - prettywoman - 06-15-2009 Thank you for your replies, thought maybe it was just me! Will try your suggestions (if I can figure out how!) and get back soon. PW RE: Get nauseated, headachy after playing game, anyone else? - Klayman - 06-15-2009 I have similar problem with Penumbra series. That static green glow from the Glowstick is causing me headache when I am playing in dark room. (06-15-2009, 03:19 AM)Renegade_ Wrote: • are you playing with no crosshairs?
