Black Box error - StanleyTheManly - 12-30-2014

I downloaded Amnesia T.D.D. and every time after setting my gamma levels the game crashes and the message that come up has this info.

BlackBox

Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module Amnesia.exe at 0023:012D8525

Now not being a huge PC gamer, but knowing that the computer I just bought should run this game fine I'd like to know how to fix this problem. I checked the troubleshooting guide and couldn't find anything to help my situation. I also downloaded Amnesia: A machine for pigs and that game works great.

If someone could give me a step by step of how to fix this issue that would be awesome. Also my computer is windows so if that helps then great.

Thanks.

Do a steam file integrity check

RE: Black Box error - Guest - 01-01-2015

already did that nothing changed.

RE: Black Box error - plutomaniac - 01-01-2015

If you have any connected controllers (either the whole thing or just a usb at the back of your computer) please unplug them and try again.

RE: Black Box error - Guest - 01-01-2015

nope none of those. Just a mouse.

RE: Black Box error - Guest - 01-03-2015

I'm having the same issue. I've tried to read through all the threads on this site and steam and can't seem to resolve the issue. I have the same exact error message as above.
