No, I've never run any other custom stories before and I thought that this was the Mac support forum because I clicked on it and it brought me to all the Mac support threads...

Perhaps your thread was moved because the Mac support forum is for issues with the game on Mac, not issues regarding custom stories because they are endless and out of scope for support there.
I suggest you try running another custom story because this one has a slightly more advanced installation. Once you get used to how normal ones work, follow the instructions for Dark Room to install it.
As for moving folders, remember that Mac doesn't merge (unfortunately), so you'll have to enter each subfolder before moving the files.

I'm probably not the best to suggest, but I know a lot of others here can list a few great ones. You can try out A Coward's Dept if you're into serious stories. If you want a joke story, well, you didn't hear it from me, but you can look up A Small Horse. Lots of great stuff, but it isn't regarded too well on these forums
