SOMA Steam early crash - wjkeller - 09-25-2015 Hello, I've just purchased and downloaded the steam version of soma. When I click play, I get the "play or launch mod" menu. When I click play, the dialog box disappears, but soma never launches. It isn't getting far enough to create the .log file in My Games. Is there any other information I can provide to help look for a fix? Radeon 7970 with the most recent drivers, i5 3770k. Thanks, Will I have also tried the beta build - no dice I have my steam library on a different HDD to my boot drive if that's relevant. Also, I'm on Win10. Here's my dxdiag.exe output: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=TpPz7NaG RE: SOMA Steam early crash - jens - 09-25-2015 If you are not running the beta, try swithcing to it and see if it helps. Right-click SOMA in steam, properties, beta tab and select from drop down menu. RE: SOMA Steam early crash - Guest - 09-25-2015 I am running the beta. No change. This is the closest thing I have to a trace if it's helpful: http://i.imgur.com/0aMzW6b.jpg Googling the -1073741515 and taking it as an unsigned int leads to 0xC0000135L, which seems to be an error code for a missing .NET runtime (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11432940/what-does-error-code-0xc0000135-mean-when-starting-a-net-application). I've uninstalled and reinstalled all the .NET/VS C++ runtimes I can, but still no luck. If I try to launch the executables directly, I still get the VCOMP100.DLL error. HEYYYYYYYY, I could have sworn I'd tried it already, but this redist fixed my problem: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=14632 Hopefully this helps anyone else on windows 10 with the same problem! http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-civil-3d/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Error-VCOMP100-DLL-is-missing-from-your-computer.html |
