Crashing after comms dome roof collapses - Guest - 09-28-2015
I'm using a late-2013 macbook pro (15 inch, retina), and the game always crashes after I've been talking to a women in the comms dome, and the roof collapses. After this, I get a black screen for a few seconds, and then I get 'SOMA quit unexpectedly.'
I'm running the latest mac update, and have tried turning down all settings. hpl.log is attached from pastebin, it was too big to attach normally.

Did you start playing the game before the latest patch? So you have a save file you are using from before 1.02 patch? If so, please load a saved game from the level before the level with the comms dome and play from there and it should fix the crashing issue.

I didn't start playing the game before the last patch. I just tried loading a save before the comms level, and the same thing happened. I've included the hpl.log again, not sure if it'll be different this time.

Can you do one last test and that is to right-click soma in Steam, pick properties, local files and click verify cache integrity. Let it work and see if it fixes any files. Then load a save again from the level before the level with the comm (it can not be an earlier save in the same level) and see if it works.
Need to make sure as this should be fixed and not happening after 1.02.
If it crashes again can you also please post the crash log from the system?

How can the log say 1.02 then? There is no 1.02 for GOG yet.

Ok, just did a play to the comms centre from a save on an earlier level, and the same thing happened. I did a verify files on the gog galaxy client. The crash log is in the pastebin link. Thanks for your help, I'd love to continue with this game, it seems great so far.

No idea how the log says that it's a 1.02 from GOG.
