Mint - crashes on Mesa(shadows), crashes with proprietary. - tin - 09-29-2015

Hello there

me again :-)
From third map (1 - apartment 2 - subway 3 - the construction site place ? don't know)
Game crashes immediately after loading said map

After some trial and error routine i figured it is Shadows option.
Game can run only without shadow on said map (don't know the rest yet)
First too were ok.

granted i run messa 11.0.0 which might be the cause.

Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela 64-bit
GOG version
AMD Athlon™ X4 860K Quad Core Processor
AMD R7 260X
4gb Ram

Game has not been tested with mesa drivers, it is recommended to use the proprietary drivers. Seems there has been two updates with bug fixes to mesa 11 so possibly you can try updating and see if that helps?

Well now it was :-)
It doesn't like shadows on third map.
Not even with most recent mesa

Anyway proprietary ones are working.
So far so good i guess.
Will report more if it changes :-)
Thank you

Oh well didn't get too far. :-(
Crash exactly when you cross first door next to a desk.

No mater what drivers , nor graphic setting. (tried several even gone back to those proprietary ones)

As soon as i step through the door (i can open them just fine)
am at a loss

Got somewhere :-)

Tried to launch game by moving its launcer behind sudo command in terminal.
No luck - it was actually rather weird.
Then i tried launching it with start.sh file in game directory from file manager launched as a superuser.

Guess what.
Game started with all settings in default and i was allowed through the door. :-)

It might be related to the "reset setting" suggestion from your troubleshooting guide....
However your guide could use some more info how to actually do it in linux really dont know where "the game's save directory" is located.

will report if anything changes.

EDIT:

So far so good, got to the part - that is just after area where Carl is located, without any problem.
I would say it looks solved.
...*sigh* i feel like i am talking to myself here. :-)
