Export Blender-model for Soma - Kanthos - 11-06-2015

Hey guys! Smile

I finished a model of a hydroponic-basin in blender and tried to export it.
I tried to view it in the modelviewer, but it crashed, which is always a bad sign.

I followed the instructions in the wiki (with the modifiers on, etc.).

So, if anyone succesfully made a model in blender and used it in Soma, i´d be glad for any tips, advice and/or instructions Smile

Could be that you didn't make a .mat file for it (with the same name as your diffuse texture)

But if that's not it. Blender exports collada files terribly. The only way I found to have my models show up in soma. Is to export them to Maya first, attach the textures there and then finally export the model in dae format. After that. Hpl3 should be able to load your custom models.

Worked for me back in HPL2 should work for HPL3.

Oh maaaaan... what's with that godawful music and the even more annoying "voice"...?? Confused

According to the creator the voice makes it easier to make the videos, as you can see the video is highly edited.
