Problems with Amnesia: The Dark Descent - GhostlyEcho - 11-26-2015
I have bought Amnesia: TDD and Amnesia: AMFP together on Steam.
I had borrowed the computer from someone when playing before, because I didn't have it. But now, I can't get the launch screen up, I don't have Justine, and I can't play Custom Stories anymore.
Is there a way to resolve this problem? None of the Custom Stories even shows up at all. I miss Justine and the awesome Custom Stories. Help would be very much apreaciated.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of the game on Steam?
Could you check out the troubleshooting guide and provide the info if that doesn't work?

Right click it in Steam > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game cache.

I tried that. I found out how to get the Launch screen up, and Justine was there.
But there are still no Custom Stories, though. I've moved them to where they were supposed to be, but when I load the game, the Custom Stories doesn't show up at all.
Is there another way to get them back in the game?Thank's, you have been very helpful to me.

Which stories have you tried? Did you place them in your Amnesia game directory > custom_stories? Could you post a screenshot of the files inside that custom story?

I have the Custom Stories in Local Disc (C: )/Program Files (x86)/Amnesia: The Dark Descent/redist/custom stories.
I've played some Custom Stories, which I did enjoy alot.

See if in the "main_init.cfg" file located in Amnesia root directory/config has a line CustomStoryPath = "custom_stories". If not, add one like here:

Hm, maybe your problem is Windows 10 and it's permissions problems. Could you try running the game as an administrator and maybe tweak the permissions if you can?
