Game does not support joysticks / gamepads? - Omarko - 09-12-2010

hey guys

I got this game for my missuz as she loved the trailers.

However, she cant play with the traditional WASD+Mouse so we got her one of the Logitech Dual action gamepads - LINK

it works in many games but not in Amnesia. Is there a simple way to get it going with this game ?

I doubt there would be. This game is just not made with a gamepad in mind.

FPS does not work with controller. Teach her to use WASD+Mouse.

You could experiment with http://www.xpadder.com/

There's no way. You're going to have to use a mouse the manipulate things in ways that a joystick just won't be able to substitute.

By using the programs that the other users are recommending you maybe will make it work, somewhat, but i doubt she will be able to experience the fantastic object, door, valve manipulation that exist in this game with a game pad, IMO she will be frustrated about the controls and not play because of that, tell it that in a hour or two she will learn how to use the M&K system and she will realize how natural and user friendly it is, theres no better system them K&M to play FPS.
