See subject. As far as I know, no one on a windows client can alt+tab out of the game without crashing it. Correct me if I'm wrong. So my question is: can we expect to see the issue resolved? Not like it's the hugest deal in the world, but it is pretty inconvenient. Especially for those of us that frequently forget/don't wish to close our IM clients before playing =)

I can do this just fine, except DWM must be reinitalized in order to make mouse work. HPL2 is weird indeed.

I'm in XP, however, and there isn't a mouse issue. There's a crash issue.

I'm interested in this as well , it's really frustrating having to alt-tab and having the mouse stuck in the upper left corner.
How would i go about reinitializing DWM ?

I don't have a problem with alt-tabbing, but I do have a problem with Vsync working in fullscreen mode. Thus, a good alternative is to play the game in windowed mode without borders just like you can do on any source engine game, but not as simple as a few launch commands.

I recommend this program called ShiftWindow as a handy tool for full screening any windowed game that does not have the option to do so as a target command on the exe.

I haven't run it yet to see if it fixes my alt+tab issue (looks promising) but I play EVE occasionally, and that in and of itself makes this a great find!
