Will SOMA run on A Mid 2012 MacBook Pro - Koover - 01-18-2018
Hi,
I have a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro 15". Will SOMA run playably on it? It has a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

It might. Depends on your OpenGL version, but I think that card should be sufficient. SOMA requires OpenGL 3.2 I believe. 1 GB of VRAM might be a bit short though.
I would guess it will run, but I can't say it will run well. Not 100% sure though. Not even 50%.

The OpenGL version on the card is 4.1, so it should be able to run SOMA, but yes as Mudbill says, it may not run very well. Your Intel Processor should be efficient enough. You will also require 25GB of Harddrive space, and 4GB of RAM minimum to run and install the game.
Should your laptop not be sufficient, Steam will offer a refund if you have not played the game for more than two hours, and request the refund within two weeks after your purchase.
