I've noticed something peculiar about saving in .dae. When you save natively in Maya, you can use BindPose to go back to the bind pose when you skinned the object (or if you made a separate one). But if you save as .dae and import back, it gets deleted. You can still deskin the object to go back to the original bind pose, but you can't use the BindPose command to do it. This means that you would have to deskin to go back, but only the model will; the joints won't go back to their original pose. Anyone know anything about this kind of problem? Right now I'm trying to find a way to fix it.
