The Well: Descent - MrCookieh - 07-18-2011 Hello guys! v1.1 Since I'm working on my custom story for some days now, I think it's time to share some information about it, so those who love dark places are prepared I know, I can't give you many informations by now, but I try to get some screenshots as fast as possible! (Download links at the bottom of the post!) Story: You are David, a normal guy from the middle-class, whose father left him at the age of 8. After 14 years, he gets the message of his uncle, that he might know where his father is. All signs lead to an old well, which is forgotten and out of action, and David enters the well right away, because of his curiosity, what happened to his father. (Might not sound very original, but the story and its mysteries will evolve while playing. The character himself doesn't know much about the situation, same for the player.) What you can expect: - three chapters, beginning with the first one, The Well: Descent - dark, atmospheric dungeons - optional task to find the hidden rooms of David's father Demo? - I don't think that I'm going to release a demo of my custom story. I think a demo will take away the first moments of the full version, but I'm not sure yet. Maybe you find some good arguments to convince me Progress: Story: 100% Level Design: 100% Script: 100% Notes: 100% Overall: 100% Screenshots: Careful! Spoilers! So the best way to solve this: Correct my grammatical/spelling errors, so I can improve the custom story's language, and my own skills. I would really appreciate it! It's more like you should prove yourself worth convincing. RE: The Well: Descent - Kurton - 07-18-2011 I've never been fond of the whole demo business. I think if you're that far along, it'd be worth it to progress 'til the full thing is complete. What'd be awesome is if you could show some good screenshots, that'd really keep me looking forward to it :D RE: The Well: Descent - Tenno - 07-19-2011 I'm intrigued, looking forward to seeing more RE: The Well: Descent - skypeskype - 07-19-2011 Sounds good but... nothing new . RE: The Well: Descent - MrCookieh - 07-19-2011 Updated with 4 ingame Screenshots. It's a bit brighter than it looks like in the screenshots. Missing some details, which I add when rooms and other important things are finished. (Any idea how I can upload more than 4 Screenshots? Excluding an image hosting platform) RE: The Well: Descent - xtron - 07-19-2011 Damn, looking good!. Goodjob and keep it up RE: The Well: Descent - MrCookieh - 07-19-2011 (07-19-2011, 03:06 PM)xtron Wrote: Damn, looking good!. (Found a way to evade the 4 attachments only) [attachment=1710] RE: The Well: Descent - Tenno - 07-20-2011 These screens look fantastic, looks like this story is going to have one hell of an atmosphere Good luck |
