The game works great up until I click on a journal entry in the Archives, the one that talks about a blue light. After the flashback has finished I am left with a completely black screen. I can hear sound effects and such, but I can't move or see anything. I've tried quiting the game and reloading but it is still the same. I'm on a Toshiba Satellite C650D -026 with a ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card and Windows 7. Any suggestins would be appriciated.

Attach me here the file HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main folder. Before this scene, turn all your graphics settings to the lowest possible and try to see if that works. Afterwards, turn them back on like before.

The exact same problem, the game goes black, i hear the dialog about the "Faint blue shimmer" and it stays black. i can hear everything, use the menu (cant use the inventory) My computer is poor, so i play the game already with the lowest graphics.

ok, I need you to attach me the correct HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main folder. Also, what operating system do you have?

Make sure you have the latest driver installed:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-32bit-280.26-whql-driver.html
Your card can barely run the game so it is not strange that the problem occurs.

Your graphic card is too old. You should buy a new one.

try the drivers but I don't think they will help. The card is just old...

I don't have winzip, and I can't update my graphics card drivers =[
