It could be some kind of cult, and guests are being sacrificed etc. just write down anything on your mind and build a story from it :)

You could use this: He wakes up to what he thinks is a normal day. However, stuff has changed since when he went to bed, and he must get out before something terrible happens. and then just build on...

Protip: Don't use the 'doesn't-remember-anything-amnesia' story. It's overused and seen way to many times before.
