Thread: Halo: Reach: made $200 million
Post: RE: Halo: Reach: made $200 million

Halo's a solid franchise with some good games. Most PC gamers scoff at it without ever having played it. That being said, while it's a solid franchise, it's nothing incredible. Most of the innovative ...

I can confirm this. Using alt-tab to reach the desktop results in the mouse sticking to the top left of the screen. It's like it's being captured for movement in the game but not released when the win...

Post: RE: Vista + ATI - Test problem. Please test!

I'm running Vista Business 32-bit, ATI Radeon X1650XT, Catalyst 7.6, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB of RAM. In Overture I frequently experienced the disappearing polygons, and also the menu hang. In this lat...

Post: RE: [Vista] Menu freeze

I'm already using software. I can't narrow this down to any specific options in the game. Setting the graphics to low then back to high seems to, I don't know, reset something in the driver or relate...

Post: RE: Linux Version Available for Sale

The main rationale behind not paying another $20 is that it didn't take the same amount of work to port it to Linux and OS X as it did to originally make the game. It uses SDL, so all the gritty w...

I have the boxed Windows version. Is there any way I can get the native binaries so that I can play it on Linux? Particularly because driver bugs in Vista are making it rather difficult. Edit: Neverm...

I got mine for my birthday, I think my brother got it through Amazon, which gets it from Target.

Post: RE: [Vista] Menu freeze

Ugh, now it's happening again. Turning off all the options fixed it, but after I turned them on again, it didn't work. It really seems like an ATI driver bug at this point. We should all report it to ...

Okay, I turned all options to their lowest settings, and that fixed it. Then I turned them all back up, and it works okay now.

It's not Microsoft's fault that ATI and nVidia sat around for two years with their thumbs up their asses instead of developing drivers.

I too am having this issue. Vista, X1650XT, Catalyst 7.5. Setting the shader detail to low or very low seems to fix it. I'm still having the menu freeze problem, though. ATI really needs to clean up ...

I too am having this issue and have yet to solve it. I set my shader settings to very low, and that fixed the ship wall visibility bug, but nothing has fixed the deadlock issue. I've tried all the sug...
