I've also encountered similar problems when using the level editor on a weaker PC, also with lighting rendering in the editor, but the game worked fine. It might simply be caused by that.

That could mean a really large amount of work needed if it's more than just a few objects. Could be areas, lights, button states etc. There has to be some way to get that to work.
