Do you mean a SubType? I can't select any subtypes, and yes we are dealing with a new lantern.

I have the type set as HandObject, btw.


EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. Thank you alot!

Actually, It didn't work. I changed the Type to Item, and the SubType to Lantern. Changed the sounds, and saved. I went into the game, turned on my lantern, and I blackboxed. I went back into the Model Editor, changed the SubType to HandObject. Same issue. Help?

Also, checking the Flashlight from White Night, their Type is HandObject aswell, but they have custom sounds... Am I doing something wrong?

Really? No one?

I can't make a item of the lightsource that I can grab, as well. It blackboxes and spits the same error as it would with changing the HandObject to Item. Either I have to modify the main files, figure this out, or just use the old lantern sounds (which would honestly suck).

The last time i tried to make a HandObject my game crashed. I have no idea how to make the game not crash with a HandObject.

What would I do then? The flashlight model is used in White Night and they a custom Flashlight item, custom on and off sounds, and the item is: Type - Item SubType - Lantern. The actual item you hold is: Type - Handobject.

I tried taking the flashlight item and handobject, importing the mesh of my own lightsource, and then just saving it, but that didn't work, as I still got a black box error...

Could someone who has made a lightsource (such as the creator of Oh Silent Night or the man who made the flashlight) post a tutorial on how to do such thing?

I have a new error. The only part of my english.lang that works is the level names. I haven't changed anything in the messages part or the Inventory tab that would've all of a sudden make it not work.
