Wish I would've saved myself the heartbreak.

I thought it was pretty fun. I think it would be more fun to play with friends, so you can use more teamwork, but since the party-system is broken... That's not going to happen until they fix it. The devs said they're aware of it, though, so hopefully they'll fix it soon.

It's not so much that so much as they completely screwed up the lore. Raziel's clan was known for philosophy, literature, and a banking system. The Fane looks like the remaining Razielim had a slumber party sponsored by Better Homes and Gardens.
Whatever speech is in it is cliche and dully delivered, not reminiscent at all of the series.
Bah, just thinking about it gets my blood boiling. They did not research the lore of this game before executing the idea.
I'm hoping that if I ignore it long enough, it'll go away.

I suppose it doesn't. And the period of Nosgoth's history the game takes place is vague (although I think it may be better off that way-the writing so far is not impressive) It's just my inner long-time devotee of the series feeling disappointed in what I personally feel it could have been.
But then again, for me, nothing short of what the original writers could have concocted would have been disappointing.
