Palistov is an ancient derived nomenclature of a mystical entity that combined the powers of the Light with the purging flame of the most powerful technological innovation ever to be engineered. The legend goes that the holy paladins of Charlemagne's court uncovered a plot to develop a device which harbored the power of the sun in a caliber that mankind could subdue and utilize for various household purposes. Around this time, fire-pits and the like were uncontrollable and unpredictable, so many countermeasures had to be used to prevent the thirsty flame for devouring everything around it. Buckets of water and stone rings, stuff like that. Once the twelve discovered the device, they vowed to protect its power and ensure its design persevered throughout war, famine and plague.
