Song lyrics and meanings

I like the idea of this thread, and I am 100% pro-feels in music.
If I don't like the lyrics to a song, I'm probably not going to listen to it.

Normally I agree. In fact, the only song I understand but don't care for the lyrics for is "Clean My Wounds" by Corrosion of Conformity. The songwriter is against religion and sometimes incorporates this anti-religion in his songs. the main lines in the song that make this clear?

"Knock it down" meaning knock down religion, and when I found this out I was like "oh that's what this song means?! Well F**k it! The song is still great!"
