How to make a custom story

Haven't heard of the second one, but dark room has a disorganized installation. Extracting everything to the custom_stories folder isn't the proper way to install dark room. The folder structure of dark room assumes retail edition of Amnesia, and if you don't extract everything to the folder where Amnesia is installed (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Amnesia - The Dark Descent), then it's not properly installed.

but should they work normally if you do it the way I do? like extracting to the custom_story folder?
