Aren't you trying to play vanilla Amnesia? The Deterioration story should run independently of Amnesia.

I think what he did was dragged all files and folders from the Deterioration directory into the root Amnesia folder. At least, that's the only thing i can think of that could possibly ruin the original Amnesia setup.
