One more needing Workshop help :p

Alright, so I've got as far as finding my ever-beloved pile of dry gunpowder. Only problem is, I don't seem to be able to use it with anything (apart from the lighter, which elicits a funny response by my standards I'm from the school of adventure gamers who use anything with everything, just to see what kind of response they get.)

I know I'm supposed to be making a fuse for a barrel of TNT, but I can't find anything for said fuse. There's that box of odd pieces of string, but the game won't let me pick any string from the box Any and all hints are appreciated, as always.
