Solved: 8 Years, 2 Months ago stuck mouse, can't get past menu

My mouse is stuck in the upper left corner of the screen!

My specs:
OS: Vista 32-bit
Mouse: Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse 2.0
Graphics: ATI x1300 (latest drivers)
Game Version: 1.01

I've tried looking in the config file for any settings that might help, tried fiddling with a few settings but haven't found anything that resolves the problem. Game seems to start fine...
