I've started playing it now and it's pretty good. One thing I would advise on changing is the messages on the doors. There are some doors that say (for example) "You need the silver key to open this door". It's a bit specific. Also a there's a visual bug right in the beginning; There are pinetrees that go halfway through the corners of the room and it looks a bit weird.

Yes, some messages are too specific but people get stuck anyways.

I didn't want the player to run around the map trying to find where to use his items.

But maybe you are right, instead of 'silver key' it should say 'needs a key'.
