Solved: 8 Years, 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago Vsync: Too much lag, No vsync: Too much FPS

With vsync enabled I get a very laggy unresponsive game, but with it turned off I get too much FPS and the screen tearing is visually disgusting and ruins the whole thing.

sys info:
os: Gentoo Linux
Radeon HD 7850
driver = FGLRX (proprietary Linux driver)
