Solved: 8 Years, 1 Month, 4 Weeks ago Bug  Penumbra Overture crashes when I leave the boat

I just finished Black Plague and decided to give Overture another whirl, so I started a new game. When I got all my things and left the boat, the game crashed after the loading screen. Overture has worked many times before, I don't know why it's deciding to screw up now. I am running the Steam version of the game.
