Fullscreen not running.

I broke my vow and ran the demo, but only to see if I could run the game.

I played a small amount and got a very low framerate. This is most likely because of the massive amount of SSAO sampling I put on earlier. I didn't realize it at the time but I read up on some technical support stuff. I did have to update my drivers (for an ATi HD4870) so I did that.

Now my problem is that with these new drivers, the demo can't run in fullscreen.

Also, I have another possible problem, but I'm not sure. In a gameplay video I saw a player come by a large door. He tried to open it but it was locked, and to signify that it was locked, a large roaring sound played and this fleshy texture materialized in front of it. I came upon a similar instance where a large door was locked, and the same sound played, but no fleshy substance showed up. Is it just a different circumstance or is this a problem?
