Computer shuts down after some minutes

Check your cpu voltage when playing amnesia and when playing those games. Low Cpu voltages with your cpu can perfectly run amnesia in a near to idle state depending on how much FSB your cpu has. If you notice that your voltage is lower on Amnesia you have your enigma solved. Either way I advise you to solve your problem and not to trust that Amnesia proves overheating is not the problem. Make a stress test with everest or other similar program. Check the temperature behavior and see if your computer shuts down.
