During my time watching several lets plays, watching content, creating content, and for a brief time (2/3 months) creating Amnesia custom story map LPs, I have come to know some stands for creating LP's and content. It also helps greatly that I work with a network of directors that encourage both creativity and respect for the games we are either making Machinimas or gameplay videos of. While I am not a fan of PewDiePie, I can understand what makes him entertaining. He is our Shaggy from Scooby Doo. He entertains people and is a complete scaredy cat (and to an extent he has the hair). While his type of videos aren't for me, I can understand his popularity. Jesse Cox and PewDiePie during their time on the normal game of Amnesia knew what mood to be in. Dark room, headphones, and invest themselves into the story and atmosphere, they even respect the content even if they do break the atmosphere at times with comedic effect. This guy however, neither invests himself into the game, nor respects what was created for the masses, and it is easy to tell by his play style, his tone and mood of his voice, and how much he doesn't care about the game (heck, having the lights on just proves it).
I was thinking on getting back into custom stories or such so I can prepare for A Machine For Pigs since this game contributed to my minor success, but I am extremely reluctant now that I have watched this. A video can get away with a lot of things, but this was just painful to watch for me.
