Remember to keep in mind also that there are some who don't, and would love to see some extra new footage early (Not saying I do), and maybe some other people who would love to see Pewdie being the one to play it. Everyone has their own tastes.
Try to take a look at what else could've happened here:
If Pewdie didn't upload the video it would result in the people who didn't want the video to be pleased, but the ones who wanted to see the video not being able to see it. Potentially 50% happy demographic (For sake of example cutting the two groups of people into their own halves each)
Now in the case that he did, people who want to see the video can, and the people who don't might accidentally stumble on it, but for the most part they can avoid it if they try. Potentially 75% happy demographic (The people who want to see it + people who were fortunate enough to not accidentally run across the video)
So sizing this up you can see how realistically speaking releasing the video might please more people.
