Yes, .MAP is Amnesia extension (HPL2 engine). Soma (HPL3 engine) uses .HPM extension. .HPS extension is for scripts in both cases. It looks like you are trying to open Machine for Pigs map ("[...]mansionbase[...]"). I highly doubt there is way to open old .map file for Soma. It would require changing A LOT stuff at least. It would rather break game than work correctly. You can open both files in notepad and you will see that thier structures are completely different. It looks like some additional files like .hpm_Area or .hpm_DetailMeshes contains data about placed objects instead of putting it all in one file (like old .map does).

I assume you need to export AMP assets and recreate whole AMP level in new Soma editor.
