Amnesia sequel story? (spoilers)

Let's give Daniel a rest, he's gone through so many terrible things...

New Daniel who has amnesia perhaps, however there's no denying old Daniel was a colossal knob. The past may come back to haunt him, history has a habit of repeating itself.

No matter how good the sequel might be, I think it would detract from the story of the original. Besides, Fomzo's got a point. Don't you think Daniel's been through enough?

Nope. Let the new horrors commence. Besides I've formed an attachment to his character, silly I know.

I'm probably a bit bias when it comes to sequels cause my FGOAT, Final Fantasy X, was massacred by FFX-2. While I'm sure that FG would make an infinitely better sequel than the equivalent of FFX-2, I just don't want to to see Amnesia cheapened in the same way FFX was.

Amnesia =/= FFX-2
