Holy shit! You're the guy who used to constantly link his youtube account on the bungie forums, aren't you?

Anyway, I don't think you're playing right.

RE: Amnesia Doesn't Scare Me...

I also know a dude who seems not to get scared of anything. No matter how scary horror movies we watch or play horror games and everyone else in the room gets scared and later see nightmares, he won't. People are afraid of different things, more or less than others.

It's also true that player's attitude can have it's effect but if there's absolutely nothing in the game that the player is really scared of it's quite useless. However, it's natural and quite common to be afraid of the dark, not to mention mutilated, walking corpses. If, let's say, about 90% of players get scared while playing Amnesia, I wouldn't call the game a failure or those players as pussies.

It's just impossible to please everyone.

dude, i also troll the enemies in Amnesia. You should play the custom story " The Attic " or "House of Creep", then you know what fear means^^

This is actually relevant to my feelings about it.

Penumbra: Overture creeped me out and gave me a frightening enough experience

Peumnbra: Black Plague's monsters just had me scared to shit and Alt F4'd quite a lot of times out of panic.

Amnesia made me laugh my ass off when I saw a monster it's just that they look so adorable in a way

I can believe that someone may not be frightened, but 'cute, adorable, funny' are not in my list of adjectives that describe the Amnesia enemies. That's just waaay too much of a stretch. They aren't exactly appealing, no matter how 'un-scary' they might be.

If you don't like the game because it does not scare you play something else. If you enjoy the monsters than play it...

RE: Amnesia Doesn't Scare Me...

This is an intense thread.

Here's the main thing: Respect other people's opinions. Everyone deserves a right to think/believe what they want. I, for one, found Amnesia to be the scariest game I've ever played/will play, and just find it hard to understand that someone isn't scared by it, but whatever. If that's what they want to believe, let them believe it. In my opinion, Amnesia is one of the only games that uses actual fear. Jump scares are being startled, not actual fear.
