RE: Level Editor crash

I can't possibly see how something would be wrong with my editor, it opens everything else just fine.

RE: Level Editor crash

Try uploading those maps (the custom story folder you received), to somewhere like mediafire, then send me the link. I'll try to open them to see if it is really the CS, or your editor.

Infrequently active. Don't expect an immediate response. Best to contact me at a different locale. If I create a thread, expect me to be quite active.

RE: Level Editor crash

Okay, give me a second.

EDIT: The developer wants to keep this stuff pretty secret, to avoid possible thieves (paranoia ftw), I am going to PM the link to you, and the developer asks you to remove the files after whatever needs to be done is done.

Understood. I'll just verify them to see if they're working here.

I will edit my next post.

I will edit THIS very post, so be sure to refresh every 30 seconds, and watch this post.
Okay, uploading.

RE: Level Editor crash

Go on, I'll update THIS post then. Unless I have to move it again. PM received.

EDIT: All files downloaded. I already suspect the problem. But not sure, though.

EDIT 2: Maps "Basement", "Second Floor" crash the editor (blackbox error). Map "First Floor", "Last Corridor", "Third Floor" open correctly with no problems.

So I don't know, but I think I have an idea. Keep an eye for another edit soon.

EDIT 3: Tell the devs that something's wrong with the maps "Basement" and "Second Floor". They crash, while the others don't. And according to the log you sent me, it fails to load a texture that is located within the Custom Story folder.

Nope, nothing works. Something's wrong with the map. Let the dev know about this.

Just trying my best. But I can't figure out for the life of me what went wrong here. I removed the CS from my computer. As the deal went.

EDIT: I'm a bit on short time, soon I'll have to leave. Can the devs launch the maps on the editor?

EDIT2: My idea before going offline and mysterious again: If the devs can open all maps just fine, then ask them to upload the maps to somewhere again, and then you try downloading them again. If they still don't open, I dunno how to help.

EDIT3: Okay, got to go now. The time here (UTC +02:00) is 11:21PM now. I'm a little tired, and I need my rest. I'll come back at around 9:00 to 10:00 AM (UTC +02:00) to check this. The problem is pretty much sorted out, and the problem is with 2 of the 5 maps as it seems. This thread shouldn't be locked yet, since the situation may change.

Just happened to be around. Ask the devs the question I mentioned before. This is my last post before going dark for today.

#1 = Can the dev open the maps?
If yes, ask them to upload the Custom Story someplace else again, then YOU re-download that custom story (replacing the folder in the "custom_stories" directory.)

If no, I can't help further.

Alright, I'm out. Post the situation, as I will come back here tomorrow, at 9:00AM or 10:00AM if I don't oversleep.
