Scaling is confusing.

In the 5th picture, the doors are huge. But the statues are small, the chairs are small but the stairs looks big if you were relatively larger size of the chairs. Including the hanging picture.
But then the stretched vase with the flowers makes me think the character is suppose to be that size if he/she was to reach them.
Then the tiling looks normal size on the floor, and the ceiling tile is way to big.

I feel so confused. :X

And to top it off you have a major fire hazard, that candle's flame is literally touching the ceiling, above the two doors/iron statues.
///////////////////////////
(1) Floor pillars could use some dirt decals around them, a little to clean around them.

(2) Grime on the walls seems excessive, like a bunch of baby kids came along and played toss the shit everywhere.

(3) Personally I would avoid the thin paper 2nd levels. Their should be a border to signify thickness, all I see is tiled plane and the white wood railing right on top of it.

Edit: (4) Is their continuity between the 3rd + 5th picture? I'm assuming they are the same place, but the left side, first floors don't match.

The 1st and 3rd seem to check out, but the 5th is different. Is it a different place?

Ahhh... The lighting the lighting... Fix the lighting. I'd like to see a "final image" (not final = final, but closer to what you had in mind as "done") as I'm not sure what image you are ultimately going for.

The spotlight is the main issue ~

Thanks for the feedback, guys. The dark walls are actually meant to be a dark marble, but the texture looks muddy from a distance, so I'll change that. The gobo I'm using of all the tree branches doesn't help in that either. And the floating candle there was sloppy of me, can't believe I took a screenshot without noticing that! Apologies for the premature screenshots, there's a lot of work to be done. I appreciate the feedback nonetheless!

Edit- In answer to your question, whether the third and fifth pictures are related, yeah they are. Here are a couple pics from the editor of the layout of the room without the lighting, hopefully looks less confusing

Why you are taking pictures in-editor not inside gameplay?

Pictures look marvellous Smile

RE: My WIP - Progress & stuff (Update 7.6.13 - Lobby map)

Can you save/upload some PNG pictures? The JPEG is smudging the dark colors, the fog and billboard lights are really messing me up.

(1a) In the first picture, I would tone down the billboards/bloom on the candles. Like a mini-sun exists in every candle.

(1b) Also in the first picture, you need some "softer" lights near lit objects. It's obvious on the other side of the wall of the light, that their is a highlighted light radius.

(1c) Again in the first picture, I think the shadow protruding from the chair is very inaccurate. It's very dark and a very thin triangle, what is up with that?

(2a) The second image looks great, love the wrinkled carpet and it has some actual geometry to it also.

(2b) Still not sure what to say about the "muddy" walls, dark marble or not. They look bad IMO, I think the texture is a bit stretched.

(3) Third picture, not a big fan of stretched models. Like shrinking the chandelier. I would have it reset to normal proportions, raise it up, turn off physics and put a little round object to be the base at the ceiling.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate you taking time to make critiques on my stuff. The chair's shadow is actually the edge of a carpet piece, which I'm using where its pushed up against a wall, but I can swap it for another piece Smile
