Question  Would you like this?

So I made these two models very recently. They are of two monsters.
Not originally thought of as Amnesia monsters, but anyways. They are textured and has bump mapping. (If thats the right term for it)

A very simple question. Would you like these two monsters in Amnesia?
Not saying I can do it, I tried to add a monster into Amnesia once, but failed. But if someone could do it, would you like it?

Pictures below.

Giant Worm: 30118 Triangles
Humanoid monster: 26572 Triangles
(Program doesn't tell me the number of polygons, I'll check into it, unless triangles and polygons are the same, not sure myself as I'm inexperienced.)

Those are pretty neat! I think the humanoid monster is more interesting. Because where could you ever put a whale in the story? Smile Maybe add some more details, wounds, dirt, etc. ??

Nice job though!

Thanks, Smoke! It's meant to be more like that rock worm from Penumbra or something similar, but yeah. I agree the skin can seem a bit bland at places, but I can easily change that a bit. I'll see if I can get to detailing a bit more at them. Thanks for the feedback! Wink

What is the polycount on these things?

I don't have the exact polygon right now, but I'll see if I can update them with it. Sorry for little information on them for now. Confused

I would like the Humanoid actually. I'm sorry, but that poly count is too high for the monsters. You need atleast a poly count below 10000.

Not really, no. I haven't seen the polycount yet. I'll decide when I do. If it's too high though, I'll change it more.

EDIT: You are sure that triangles are the same as polygons?

Quote:pol·y·gon
/ˈpäliˌgän/
Noun

A plane figure with at least three straight sides and angles, and typically five or more.

Quote:tri·an·gle
/ˈtrīˌaNGgəl/
Noun

A plane figure with three straight sides and three angles.
A thing shaped like such a figure.

Can be identical but they are not the same thing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but polygons are further divided into triangles in 3D design programs because it's simpler to think of polygons as a collection of consistent, easily definable entities rather than one very complex plane. You can be sure that the polycount on those models is not the same as the triangle count. Unless you're modelling a perfectly flat and pointy d4 then those numbers will never be identical (and even in that scenario the triangles may be subdivided into smaller ones, I'm not completely sure).

That was what I thought, yeah. I even imported them into Amnesia model and level editor, they look completely normal, like the servant grunt. They seem to have an acceptable poly count.

That looks awesome-ly scary! I would love to see that.
