Certainly, I'm just airing some concerns here. After all, the music will not change. It may take on a different meaning, but if it isn't great music on its own it won't be great music in context either. Personally I question the sense in previewing only the worst tracks of your album if your intent is for people to purchase it, but whatever.

That is true. Limbo's haunting ambience enraptured me to the point that I consider it great listening even out of context. I can't say the same for AAMFP's music based on what I've heard so far.

I think they are tracks that have a sort of passive story-ish vibe to them though, which may be why they consider them appropriate for previewing. I suppose that still doesn't necessarily excuse it though...

Music is subjective. I consider the tracks heard so far to be good listening material regardless of context.

RE: A:AMFP [Soundtrack Preorder]

I haven't listened to the tracks cause I don't want it ''spoiled''.

I loved her work in Dear Esther but i'd be lying if I said there wasn't a bit of doubt in my mind when I realized she was doing the score.

Obviously she'd do it cause she's part of TCR but it just ''surprised'' me. I always saw her as a more melodic and melancholic composer than someone who'd compose tracks for a horror game, but that's just my ignorance talking.

She did do a soundtrack for another horror project of theirs. It was an experimental half-life 2 mod.

While it goes for a different kind of horror and style than Amnesia, her work was pretty disturbing in it. Definitely left me without doubts at least. And I'm far from disappointed in what I've heard.

Not that dumb of a coincidence, it's just a really, really common chord progression. Big Grin
