I checked that earlier, I got some things to update but the game doesn't work even with the drivers updated. (and it worked before the steam patch)

What graphics card do you have? What operating system? Also x86 or x64?

My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 630, im using windows 7 x64

I finally fixed it, I had to change the depth of colour (or this is how is literally translated) to 32 bits. I dont know why it stopped working at 16 bits but now I can launch the game (it goes a bit slow buts its ok I think). I attach an ss in case someone finds the same issue, thanks for the help here!

Yes...obviously. Who runs a modern system at 16-bit color? I didn't see that coming but maybe I can add it to the troubleshooting guide for future reference. Anyway, thank you for sharing the solution.
