Maybe if you figured out how to connect the engine via Hamachi, it MIGHT be possible. I know of a few games on Unity that connect online with Hamachi, but Unity might be designed to connect with it. I don't know for sure.

There was a knock on the door.

Unity has integrated working multiplayer support.

HPL does not.

Half Life Source is a good idea, I'd try it.

2 Mappers are definitely better than one.

This thread is pretty old, my gravedigging friend. Just sayin'.

But where does HL come in? You talking about re-creating Amnesia in that engine in order to have MP?

Perhaps, they could put the engine in, hook it up. it's built with C++ Just like amnesia

HPL works great as it is as far as I am concerned. A fairly stable engine which is able to allow us to fulfill making a CS or FC. That's all we need Tongue

Source does not have the same kind of physics engine so I doubt you'd be able to create it to be similar at all.

Everything is possible with source by modding. Just look at Titanfall for instance. And i think modding the physics engine may end up to similiar results. BUT, you have to be pro to do that.

I disagree with the multiplayer aspect, death space 3 is good example how it could end up, badly.

Well the thing is with Dead Space 3 is EA stated they made Dead Space 3 more action based than horror to try and "draw in the Mass Effect fans". That's why it flopped so hard. ME fans don't care for DS3 and they lost a lot of DS fans. So they probably have the potential to make a scary multiplayer, but didn't make an attempt at it in any way, it wasn't their focus.
