Not Solved Xbox controller incompatibility

For a reason I cannot understand, my game (steam) does not recognize my xbox360 controller input?
It maps the controls correctly in the options screen but If I try to reassign them, nothing happens "..." It doesn't take my controller's input. The game itself won't read the controller when I start it(using mouse).
I mean it isn't a huge deal. But I would like to at least TRY the game via controller?
I verified that the controller works for my other games, just not this game, I also have the microsoft accessories support exe. Although it is a windows 7 version of it and I am on windows 8.

Not Solved RE: Xbox controller incompatibility

Unsure why, possible that the update we have in the works will solve the issue. Should be released soon.

Not Solved RE: Xbox controller incompatibility

I recently bought a wired Xbox 360 controller and can confirm that:

1) The default configuration works perfectly.
2) However, if you remap the buttons some of them don't work, are left blank when pressing a button or are displaying the wrong button. For example try to remap Run and you will see what I mean.
3) Updating from SDL 2.0.0 to the latest 2.0.1 version does not fix the issue. It must be a game error.

Jens: If you don't have a xbox 360 controller you can tell me to do some testing for you if you want. No problem. Wink
